I'm sure I say this every time I do a journal entry, but wow, it's been a long time since my last update. Lately all I've been doing is working at VanArts, working on my Medic .
CURRENT (ignore the accidental mirrored mole, I've gone ahead and fixed that)
On a more personal note, I've been applying for jobs like mad, so hopefully something will come of it. There are so many companies that I'm actually inspired by and would like to work for.
Last night I had to take the case panel off my computer and get in there just to disconnect the front USB ports from the motherboard. Stupid thing - what's the point in having front USB ports if they're going to make your computer unable to start up? Anyway, through the magic of iPhones and facebook, I was able to get help from the I.T. guy from VanArts. He is a hero among men.
This morning I found a really inspirational artist by the name of Oleg Dou. www.olegdou.com/
His photography makes me want to revisit a lighter atmosphere in my own art. I've become so used to the viewports of Maya and Zbrush that I forget that I can go lighter. I used to, I think I'll start it again.
Lately for some reason I've been listening to a lot less metal and a lot more.. easy listening I guess you could say. Maybe "easy listening" isn't the best way to describe it, but essentially it's music that either instills a nostalgic, reflective feeling or happiness in general. One song in particular, "Fantasy" by DyE, was shown to me by my friend jeffsimpsonkh. Check it out, playa, the really interesting and shocking music video is below.
Yeah, you want to know what they're looking at, don't you?
